Are you planning an upcoming wedding in New York? Do you have dreams of a unique venue, complete with history, architectural flair and great design? When you choose one of these unique Long Island venues, you can have it all on your big day.
Check out some of Executive Ground Transportation’s favorite wedding venues in LI and beyond.
BRECKNOCK HALL
1 Brecknock Road, Greenport, NY
This restored historic mansion in Greenport is the perfect dreamscape for a unique New York wedding.
The indoor event space, stilted in period decor from the 1850s and gorgeous architectural flair, can seat 85. When you choose the outdoor space, you can inflate your guest list to 200.
The Brecknock is unique because it offers modern amenities in a beautiful historicla setting. You can also enjoy private groom and bridal quarters, plus 4 separate sitting parlors to make the experience great for your guests.
AMERICAN AIRPOWER MUSEUM
1213 New Highway, Farmingdale, NY
Have your wedding at one of the important sites of American history and innovation in New York!
The AAM is built on the site of Republic Aviation, where more than 9000 P-47 Thunderbolts were produced during World War II.
Ceremonies can be held under the wing of a C47 transport plane used during the D-Day invasion in 1944. For a bit of added glory (not to mention nostalgia) the bride and groom can taxi in the C47, with their entire wedding party, to the reception area and be welcomed by war-era re-enactors.
Receptions may be held in the museum’s 35,000-square-foot hangar. No sense in “winging it” when there are plenty of wings available here for any sized wedding party.
OLD BETHPAGE VILLAGE RESTORATION
1303 Roundswamp Road, Old Bethpage, NY
The Old Bethpage Village Restoration comprises 55 historic buildings and seven reconstructions, ensconced on a 209-acre site. It is owned and operated by Nassau County.
Wedding ceremonies can be held in the Manetto Hill Church, built in 1857. It’s the first building to be moved to the restoration property after the county took over in 1963.
The church interior has been fully restored and the exterior will be repainted this fall. Receptions use the Fairground Exhibition Hall, a four-winged barn in the shape of a Greek cross, built in 1995 as a reproduction of the 1866 Mineola Fair Exhibition Hall. The building have heat, air-conditioning and restrooms, as of recent rennovations.
SOLE EAST
90 Second House Road, Montauk, NY
This diverse space can be used for outdoor or indoor events, with intimate rooms for beautiful ceremonies and large, gorgeous spaces for your reception. Housed in a restored American Tudor, the building has a room for any kind of wedding.
