MAKE IT A MEMORABLE V-DAY!
It is that time of year again when roses and chocolates and romance come swirling around you in a petal-scented cloud. If you’re lucky enough to be in love, or even if you’re just getting started down the road of a brand new relationship, Valentine’s Day is a landmark in the course your romantic year, and an occasion where you can either showcase your fabulous creativity and irresistible charms or expose your sloppiest weaknesses. New York City and its surrounding boroughs offer plenty of opportunity to show your sweetheart what they mean to you, and coupling your Valentine’s Day destination with the ease and luxury of a limousine ride is a timeless and ever-thoughtful way to make your Valentine’s Day the best it can be. To give you a few ideas, we’ve compiled a list of our ways to use a Valentine’s Day limousine around NYC.
FIND THE PERFECT RESTAURANT
New York City is the mecca of fine dining, and for that matter, romantic dining. If you’re looking for something interesting or out of the ordinary for your Valentine’s Day cuisine, try the Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar in the West Village, which boasts a list of over 90 wines and champagnes and an impeccable first-class atmosphere.
Another favorite of ours is Café on the Green in the East Village, which offers a menu of Italian classics and huge windows overlooking rolling hills and a generally ambient atmosphere. For something a little more exotic, try Use New York City’s Limo for Valentine’s Day, which models its atmosphere on the concept of Japanese private booths, which value the intimacy of mealtime and cater perfectly to the desire for privacy on a Valentine’s Day outing. Zenkichi is perfect for fans of Asian food and offers a spin on a traditional date night to keep things interesting.
CHOOSE A THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE
Broadway is quite possibly one of the most quintessential New York City date-night destinations and for good reason: it gives you the chance to experience not only the artistry of theatre in the company of your sweetheart, but also the atmosphere and fun of a Broadway show that you can’t find anywhere else. If your significant other is a fan of the Broadway experience, there is a neverending rotation of shows that premiere at one of the 40 Broadway theatres in Manhattan, which means that the chances of finding a show your darling will love are pretty high. Even if Broadway isn’t exactly on your radar, there are other theatres in the Off-Broadway district which have an impressive list of shows in a less crowded atmosphere.
IF ALL ELSE FAILS, SEE (OR RE-SEE) THE SIGHTS
Look, New York City is one of the most visually stunning cities in the world, especially if you’ve never seen the sights before. Even if you have seen them, seeing them at night and in the arms of a lover is an experience that not many of us get to enjoy. So if you’re planning a romantic New York City Valentine’s Day, keeping it simple by just having your chauffeur take you around the city in your limousine while you lounge (and enjoy champagne, or wine, or scotch) in the comfort and luxury of the back seat might sound like heaven to your sweetheart. A few spots in Manhattan are perfect for Valentine’s Day sightseeing, like the Rockefeller Center (especially with its ice rink during the wintertime) and Central Park.
If you can brave the cold, the carriage rides in the Park are ideal for some Valentine’s Day cuddling. If you’re looking for a more private destination to see the sights, try the Hudson River Park, which offers an escape from the insanity of central Manhattan and opportune times to whisper sweet nothings to your Valentine as your limousine waits in the distance. Happy Valentine’s Day, you hopeless romantics!
