The annual Shinnecock Pow Wow in Southampton, New York is a great way to get in touch with the area’s history and its people. The Pow Wow will include food, demonstrations, tribal dances, arts and crafts, drum competitions and more. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-12 and senior citizens. Children 5 and under are free.

SEAFORD SUMMER FESTIVAL

Date: August 30-September 1

The Seaford Summer Festival will take place at the Seaford Train Station on Sunrise Highway and will provide antique fans and those who love arts and crafts an opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind items. The festival will also feature some amazing local food vendors should you get hungry while you’re there. The festival will take place rain or shine.

OLD SCHOOL AT BAITING HOLLOW FARM VINEYARD

Date: September 1 from 2 pm-6 pm

If you know anything about Long Island, you know it’s a sort of mecca for wineries and vineyards. Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyards offers you to join some of the best wine and musical entertainment in the area; on Labor Day this year, they’ll be featuring Old School, with live music that you can dance to, relax to or sip on a glass of your favorite Baiting Hollow wine. DISCOVERY WETLANDS CRUISE

Date: September 1 at 4:30 pm
